Day 12

July 2nd, 2003

Thank goodness this trip is over! I’ve never wanted to go home so bad.

We’re driving to Halifax and only 8 of us made it. Monika was voted off this morning. That made me a little mad. The way I see it is she saved my ass, if it wouldn’t have been her it would have been me. It’s amazing how people will back stab you with no 2nd thoughts. I do not see what good making alliances were, they lied anyways. I never got to say bye to Monika, so bye girl, sorry that you were voted off.
Thought for the day: When money is involved be careful who you trust.

One word to sum up this trip: INTERESTING!
Bye everyone! Let’s keep in touch!
April

Day 05 to Day 11

Well all though it’s been a while since my last journal entry I do have some stories to tell. I’ll start with day 5 it was brutal because we gave Julie Beck the boot off the bus. That’s about all exciting that happened that day to be honest. I didn’t even say bye to her or anything, mind you the only person who did get to say bye was Kyle. Wonder why? *wink*

Day 6 involved driving and oh yah more driving we went to a place called Nipigon, were there was a challenge, but unfortunately they didn’t have time to do everyone so I was left out. But I console myself with the fact that they knew I would not call yellow, so why even waste their time. Yah I know I’m just so conceited, I’m not really. On the bus ride to Nipigon we watched The Ring and Joyride those were some good movies, no matter how many times I watch The Ring it is going to be a scary movie. I know a few people who would agree to that!

Day 7 was AWFUL!!! Well actually only about an hour of the day was awful. This hour was held at Algonquin National Park, where I discovered, to my dismay, that I am allergic (thanks to my father) to stupid damn annoying black flies. They attacked the poop out of me. My neck is covered with what I have now named grossness! It is SOOOOO itchy, I feel like my neck is going to fall off! It’s only starting to get better now and it’s day 11. If you live in Alberta or B.C. you would be so unimpressed with the way the lakes are. They’re brownish and well let’s just say not quite crystal clear! To be fair I have only seen a couple of lakes, but there is no comparison.

Day 8 was unique. Decided to check out the club scene in good ol’ T (dot). Went to a club with the name of G spot, not too shabby of a name if you ask I wanted to call some shadies, but I didn’t have their numbers and we weren’t allowed to use our e-mail, so that was kind of depressing, but I will survive. (Please read that last sentence with some music notes)

Day 9 was the brutal event of go-cart racing, and holy cow are we ever aggressive drivers. If you ever want to see a bunch of young adults duke it out on a race track offer them immunity and a $900 scooter. Which to my dismay did not go to me, for I came in second. Which is cool, but I would have came in first if Rob hadn’t got in my way on the oval track. I know I can’t blame other people but who the heck wants to take responsibility for their own actions? I got a trophy for coming in second though.

Day 10 was AWESOME! It involved a failed challenge which was disappointing, but it gave me a good excuse to go back to Quebec. The obstacle course we were suppose to do was HUGE, and very intimidating, mind you nothing would have kept me from doing that course. Except of course the lightening which brought us down from whichever platform we lay. For the evening we went to Quebec City, and that was the most beautiful romantic city I have ever seen. I was in kind of a bad mood at first because I’m so tired, I’ve been on a bus for the past 11 days with the same old people. Everyone’s been invading my bubble and I’m exhausted. We got a good 6 hours of free time in Quebec so that was fun. At first I didn't do much because I had to do an interview, which is going to be a funny one, but I’ll let you watch it because then you will know what I’m talking about. At first I went to check out the french club scene and it was pretty cool, but nothing out of the ordinary, so Jen Poulin and I bailed. Our plan was to explore the downtown area the best we possibly could. And did we ever succeed. Our first thoughts were to explore the tall castle looking buildings. We ventured into one, took the elevator up but the highest floor we could reach was floor 6, so we made the best of our situation, found an exit and exited onto some horror movie stairs. I started walking down them had a total Freddy Cougar thought turned around and decided another hotel would be our best bet. So we went to Chateau Frontenac and decided to try our luck here. We took an elevator up and once again are stuck on the 6th floor. Start walking along to see what we can see and found another elevator, thought that it would take us down so we decided to give up. Get into the elevator and it turns out it goes up to floor 17 so obviously we take this elevator to it’s highest highness. As the door closes the creepiest music comes on and the doors start jiggling. The entire ride up the scariest noises were popping up from all over. Needless to say we didn’t take that elevator back down. Anyway as we arrive to the 17th floor, safely, we look around and take a glance out the window and notice that we’re not as high as we could be. So we kept on trekking. To our surprise we find a staircase that continues up. These had to either the nastiest room our the penthouse rooms. There wasn’t even an elevator that took you up to the 18th floor. Out of the window we notice that we have conquered the hotel. We made it to the very top, it was pretty cool. Tried to get some good pictures but I couldn’t quite get the window open, so the pictures had to be taken through the window. That about sums up Jen and April’s evening in Quebec City. It was probably the most beautiful city we’ve seen on this trip (so far anyway).

Today (day 11) was interesting. I believe I was prime target to get voted off today, but did the tables ever change. The day started with a friendly shower at a random campground and ended with some nasty words between Rob and Monika. I don’t think they like each other too much. I don’t have to go in to much detail about that because I’m sure one of them will be happy to tell the happy folks all about their fight. Because of their fight though, I’m out of the lime light and should be in the running for $5000. Here's some news though, the votes are going to keep running until July 15th so I need you guys to still vote for me as often as possible until then. Remember the keg, just remember the keg. Well if I don’t get to write a journal entry tomorrow I’m going to make one up as to what went on.

Day (imaginary) 12, well I get to go home today, looking forward to a bed more than anyone can believe. Yup Halifax sure is pretty, yup, and huh guess what not only did I win a bunch of money but I won the bus that took us across Canada. Cool hey!

REMINDER: This is an imaginary day 12 journal entry, the events I describe have not occurred nor will they occur tomorrow in Halifax.

The entire city of Halifax welcomed us into open arms, what a site. The fireworks were going off and bootlegger was giving away all sorts of free merchandise. They offered me a modeling career to make millions a year, but I had to turn it town, because well I’m sure you would have all done the same.

This is all I have to say I would like to thank Bootlegger, Greyhound, Jones Soda, Macs and all of our other sponsors for a once in a lifetime opportunity. And a big shout out to:
Jordan, Mommy, Daddy, Cassie, Dave, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, the whole family bit. Delena, Guylaine, Chelsea, Aaron, Mark, Heidi, Kathy, Amber R., Alitta, Lara, Deanne, Amber N., all the 2000 lakehead Shads, Tim, and everyone else who I love. If I missed anyone I apologize profusely but writing on this lap top is going to make me buck!

Day 04

Well I finally got a chance to explore the wonderful city of Regina. It’s a very pretty city. Can’t say I’d live there, but that’s only cause I need oceans or mountains or both. I love the scenery. We woke up in the city of Regina spending the night on the bus, oh what an adventure. Once again I took it upon myself to sprawl!

We were split into teams, my team consisted of, obviously, me, Bobby, Monika, and Rob. It was great fun I’d say. The best word to describe us as a team would definitely have to be CHEAP! Hehe oops. We hired a driver who drove us around for seven hours for 20 bucks, I’d just like to throw out a thanks to the two guys we met and the computer store.

Instead of buying our ice cream we took some guys receipt, and saved a whole like two bucks. But our cheapness proved to be worthwhile, because we went back with 111 dollars which gave us enough points to win. And the prize....

Immunity, for tomorrow’s vote off. Still not looking forward to it, but I have a pretty good feeling on who it’s going to be, hey at least I know it’s not going to be me. Good ol’ immunity! We were running all over that city! At one point we had to run a good 10 blocks to try to make it to lunch on time. Surprisingly enough we managed to make it on time!
Bobby fell in the water it was really funny. We were at a really gross lake, I forget the name, but it was full of duck poo and dead fish. He was holding onto a branch and it broke and he fell in that was funny! I chuckled anyway. It was an extremely jam packed day and the team a little stressed because we were worried about time. Everything worked out well though, which is definitely a plus. Today rocked, and I am psyched for the rest of the trip. Hopefully I make the rest of the trip!

Day 03

What can I say... Well I can say this, I am a professional rider. To be more specific a mechanical bull rider. I so kicked ass, well actually I only won by a few seconds, but still I did beat out the opposite sex. Sorry guys! Well I guess I have boasted enough for now. But seriously my legs are so damned bruised, the only person who’s legs are worse would have to be Monika.

Bungee jumping was so fun! The only thing that would have improved it was going by my feet. We should have gone feet first it sure is a hell of a lot scarier. I think we should have gone feet first we might have lost a little more than one person. Poor Julie Anne, such a sweet girl but the point of this trip was to complete the stunts. To be honest I believed that there would be 12 people reaching Halifax, but I have a feeling that is not exactly how things are going to turn out. We are already down to 11 people and soon enough we are suppose to vote someone off the bus.

Back to bungee jumping I think I went off the platform with a little bit of style. I decided to go off backwards and do a flip on the way down it turned out pretty good, well it was different anyway!

Spending the night on the bus was brutal, but I snagged the back of our seats so I was sprawled and slept for a good 7 hours straight. I wonder if by the time I leave this I will miss the bus. But the chances of that are pretty slim. I seem to get along with everyone, but people are starting to show their true colors with the lack of sleep, and the stress of the trip itself.

.......................................................

Day 02

You guys would be so jealous of us, last night we got 3 hours of sleep. I knew you’d be jealous. On a lighter note I got the nicest place to sleep sprawled all over the floor it was great, I even borrrowed Sheena’s sleeping bag for a mattress. Thanks for that Sheena.

Yesterday was river rafting, and holy cow was that ever fun. I would have to say that my nipples almost broke off, but it was well worth it. I was giddier than hell. And the best part of the rafting trip was when I attempted to drive the raft and broke the stupid handle. I’m too strong for my own good! Another highlight of the events yesterday would definitely have to be the mooning, which involved quite a few of us cast members and even our host. Today should be a good time, I’m looking forward to the bungy jumping. Hopefully some people will come and say hi at West Ed.

As for the people it’s still great fun, except there is a little tension building with the fact that someone will be voted off, and really I hope that it is NOT me. What would be the point if I got voted off before I made it to a couple of places I haven’t seen yet? I’m talking about Quebec City, Halifax, Fredricton. Other than that, yesterday I did a product shot for Frosters something I have no problem doing a picture for. I love that good ol’ flavored ice. And it’s healthy *wink*. I’m going to leave you with a very sad story, so yesterday I bought some milk. I love milk I drink probably about 1-2 litres a day. And here I go walking from the store and I’m just casually tossing the bottle up and catching it on it’s way down when I missed one catch. The bottle came crashing down and broke, needless to say I didn’t get to drink my milk.

Peace.

.......................................................

Day 01

Well there was a road trip 00 and road trip 01 and now a road trip 03. This could only turn bad if I were voted off, but hopefully that doesn’t happen. As I found out today you can be voted off and someone will be by the end trip :-( That sucks!!!!!!!

The trip is GREAT fun I mean it’s been one day and I feel like I’ve known these people for quite a while, everyone is great. We are such a variety of people and I love it! Now for the trip itself, we are on our way to river rafting, which is so sweet! I’m just a wee bit excited for that (for those of you who know me you know I’m more than a little excited and for those who don’t know me you sure will get to know me soon). Yesterday we got a shopping spree that was great I got to get so many clothes and of course I picked out ones I normally wouldn’t buy because they are so expensive, my sales lady was extremely helpful thanks for that. After the shopping we had to get changed into an evening outfit for the cruise, I was disappointed when the outfit I chose to wear was worn by one of the other girls, but hey I’m all about the improvising. I’m not going to lie to all my fans (I’ve always wanted to say that)but the truth is the cruise next to us looked like quite a bit of more fun, probably because they were dancing the salsa. As I tried to make the boat, I was caught by the security, but oh do not fear should I have gone down I would have taken my accomplice, Monika down with me. Hehe, This is really fun though; as the plot thickens with character development and possible relationships (not involving me Jordan). Technically you guys should have a great show to watch!

Well I guess I should wrap up this journal entry because I’m plenty sure there will be many more to write, but before I finish up just got to throw in a congratulations to Tanner Hopkins and Delena Stewart, soon to be Delena Hopkins! And don’t forget I love all my friends!!!
