Day 04

Day Four was full of surprises! (good and bad). I was the captain of our scavenger team. I was pleased about being the leader because (for those of you who don’t know me) I love taking charge. I comes naturally, you know? Our team was myself, Jenny, Kyle, and Sheenah. Pretty good I thought. As it turned out, it was. Everyone played a part in being a leader. Jenny was really intense, maybe even too intense! Kyle had a great eye (especially for the license plates). Sheenah was helpful too. Sheenah’s uncle drove us around for the first bit, that really helped. We all thought we were ahead of everyone else, so during the second half, we were more laid back.

Bad idea. As it turned out, we lost the immunity. I wanted to work really hard and get everything, but the majority of my team was positive we were going to win.

So now for the exciting part. After lunch we were walking down one of the busy streets and Kyle crossed the crosswalk on a yellow light. This trashy hick guy started freaking out at him! We thought he was overreacting big time, but he kept on yelling. We played it off like no big deal, which was not what he wanted to hear! He pulled up 2 minutes later and screeched his car to a halt in the middle of the road, got out, and chased after us! He got back in, and then caught up with us down the road again with friends threatening to beat us up! I was so afraid he was going to pull a gun on us!

Then, this guy pulled up to us and asked what was going on. He said he saw us and those creepy guys shoving Kyle and was going to get out and jump in! Isn’t that so cool of him?! Anyways, he drove us downtown, and was really nice about everything. Two complete extremes, eh?!

My advice for today is if you get yourself into a dangerous situation, know that just around the corner there’s someone who will help. Don’t be disheartened, keep your hopes up and don’t be afraid to ask for help! It probably saved our lives!

Ciao Canada!

Day 03

Bungeeeeeeee!

Omg, if you haven’t done it, you’ve got to try it! (unless you’re afraid of heights!) I absolutely love thrill rides, so bungee was a nice addition to my favorites! I was actually more nervous about the bull riding that morning. I have the worst bruises on my inner thighs because of it! It was worth it though, I kicked serious butt!

I spoke to my dad that day. We’re super close, so I really miss him and the rest of my family. I cried... sometimes you just have to, you know? It’s hard being away from people you love, especially when you get 4 hours sleep the night before!

I feel like the rest of the cast and I really clicked that day. I spent some time with April that day which was nice. We talked about our boyfriends and other things. That night Kyle and I went mini golfing in black light (after Playdium). It was awesome!

I really feel like things are going well.

My advice for today is if you have to do something you’re nervous about, just go for it! Don’t doubt yourself or you’ll make it ten times harder!

Ciao

Day 02

Hey again!
What’s up Canada! As you all know, yesterday we went river rafting! Although I had done it before, I forgot how exciting it is! I got absolutely soaked! Some of the rapids were huge, others a bit smaller. After the sun disappeared behind the rolling clouds, it got really chilly. It was sooo nice to have a hot shower after! A few of us shot some hoops before the rain started to pour, which was fun because I haven’t played basketball in a while! Last night we slept at another hostel, but this time in coed rooms. I was assigned a room with Kyle and Monika. Of course we didn’t all sleep in the same bed, it was bunk beds again. Last night I actually got some sleep, which was a nice change from the first night. Today is Day 3 of the trip. We’ve been bull riding and this afternoon we’re going bungee jumping. I’m so excited for it, I’m going 3rd! I really wish we got some free time in the mall... I love shopping! Speaking of shopping, I’m very pleased with my clothes from the shopping spree, but a couple pairs of pants are a bit too big. It’s all good though, I’ll survive!

I miss Vancouver, my family and friends tonz, but I’m having a great time with everyone here.

Ciao,
Jules

COME ON CANADA, JULIE NEEDS YOUR VOTES!

Day 01

Hey Canada!
So far, the trip has been a blast! We started off our journey from my hometown, Vancouver BC! My dad drove me to the airport and gave me his last words of advice before sending me off into the great unknown. I met the 11 other cast members at the airport. You know how meeting new people for the first time can be kind of intimidating? Well it was like that for the first bit with everyone, but I was really lucky because I knew Kyle from before. We had exchanged email addresses about 2 weeks ago and had been chatting on Messenger ever since! We really clicked online, and in person as well. After going over some rules and regulations with the crew and a delicious bbq lunch, we headed off to the Bootlegger store on Robson for a shopping spree! I’m a very organized peron, so I came up with a great idea. A week before the trip, my mom and I headed down to the Bootlegger store and picked out 12 outfits ahead of time! It was great to already know my sizes and specific clothing I wanted, so when it was time for our 60 minute spree, I was set! Bootlegger has some cool stuff (as you’ll see with our outfits throughout the trip!). Later that night, we went on a dinner cruise around the harbour. Dinner was great and the sunset was even greater! After a long, exciting day, we got some z’s to get ready for the next day.

My advice to all you viewers out there is to go into any situation with a positive attitude and things will work out!

Ciao!

Jules

P.S. Hi to all my family and friends back home, I love you!
